The Education Funding Agency has appointed Laing O’Rourke to deliver the Yorkshire batch of privately financed schools under the Priority School Building Programme.
Laing O’Rourke beat Bam Construction and Morgan Sindall, which were also shortlisted for the batch in April.

Willmott Dixon has been appointed to build a £34.5m super school for 1,000 pupils in Llandysul, Wales.
The school is the largest building ever commissioned by Ceredigion County Council and will merge five existing schools to form an ‘all-through’ school for three to 19-year-olds.

Galliford Try has been appointed to deliver two office contracts in Northamptonshire and Surrey, worth a combined £77m.
It will build a new £38m headquarters for Northamptonshire County Council in Northampton.
The 17,600 sq m four-storey building will regenerate an area on the south side of Northampton town centre and consolidate the council’s existing offices in the town into one building.
