Consultants awarded £20m highways framework

Atkins has been appointed as the sole Tier 1 supplier to the West Midlands Highway Alliance framework, understood to be worth £20 million over four years.

Atkins will work in strategic partnership with Waterman to deliver municipal, highways and engineering consultancy services across the region.

The framework, commencing on 1st June 2013 and is led by Warwickshire, Coventry and Solihull councils, and can be accessed by any of the other 10 West Midlands local authorities who are members of the alliance, as well as transport executive Centro. The Framework Agreement format also consists of three Tier 2 Framework Consultants - Jacobs UK Ltd and WSP UK Ltd.
