McLaren picked for £120m Brighton scheme McLaren Construction has been picked by developer First Base to deliver the £120m redevelopment of Amex House in Brighton Located in the Edward Street Quarter of the city, the project will include 170,000 sq ft of grade A office space, as well as 168 new homes. Lendlease to build Commonwealth Games village Lendlease has been picked to build the 2022 Commonwealth Games athletes’ village in Birmingham. Birmingham City Council selected the firm as principal contractor for the village, known as the Perry Barr regeneration development. The contract is understood to be worth £350m.
