Green light for £150m Northern Ireland road scheme A £150m road scheme linking Londonderry to Tyrone has finally been given government approval, paving the way for construction to start next year. Phase one of the A5 road in eastern Northern Ireland will now begin early next year after Northern Ireland’s Department for Infrastructure decided to proceed with the scheme. Mace picked for Sussex Uni build under £500m upgrade The University of Sussex has selected Mace as the preferred bidder for its new science facility as part of its £500m campus upgrade. The university revealed plans to improve its science building in February as part of a plans to modernise its facilities, based just outside Brighton. Winners revealed for £250m police station framework A dozen contractors have won places on a £250m framework covering building works and refurbishments across London police stations. Baxall, Graham, Overbury, Wates and Willmott Dixon all landed places on the highest-value lot for the framework, which covers work on Metropolitan Police Service buildings over the next four years.
