As preparations for UK Construction Week continue to gather pace, the show is pleased to announce that Glenigan, the UK’s leading construction intelligence provider, has signed up as the event’s official knowledge partner.
The partnership will help UK Construction Week provide authoritative insight and useful seminar content for each of the nine shows that come under the event’s umbrella. Alan Wilén, Economics Director at Glenigan, and Tom Crane, Economist, will both take up spots on the speaker programme, sharing some of the company’s vast industry knowledge and expertise.
Glenigan will also play a vital role in supporting the Hosted Buyer Programme at UK Construction Week. Designed to offer active buyers a structured and highly effective show experience, the programme will allow buyers to cut through the ‘noise’ by going directly to the suppliers and vendors that are most able to meet their needs.
Glenigan will work with the UK Construction Week team to organise a bespoke programme of hand-picked supplier meetings, seminars and networking events for participants in the programme – all designed to help the visitor fulfil both their immediate and longer term procurement needs, as well as providing exhibitors with effective, face-to-face meetings with buyers working on live projects.
Richard Morey, Group Events Director at Media 10, the event company producing UK Construction Week, commented: “We are delighted to have Glenigan on board, as the insight and knowledge they can provide will be a valuable asset for visitors and exhibitors alike. The Hosted Buyer Progamme will deliver a really unique and worthwhile service, which will be greatly improved by the support offered by Glenigan.”
With more than 40 years experience, Glenigan combines comprehensive data gathering and exhaustive research with detailed statistical modelling and expert analysis, to deliver a trusted insight into UK construction trends and activity. Glenigan’s customers include government agencies, construction companies and suppliers of materials and services to the industry.
Robert Davis, Content Director at Glenigan, said: “Our knowledge partnership with UK Construction Week is further proof of our commitment to supporting best practice within the construction industry – enabling contractors, sub-contractors and suppliers to grow and trade together as the market enters a new phase of prosperity. The event is a great platform for us to share our market intelligence to benefit a much larger audience.”
Held at the Birmingham NEC from 6 – 11 October (with the trade days from 6 – 8 October), UK Construction Week will bring together nine shows, 1,000 exhibitors and more than 50,000 visitors under one roof. Free to attend, it will be the biggest event for professionals working in all aspects of residential and commercial construction planning and design.
