As part of plans announced in the Governments Autumn 2012 statement. Scheme comprises the M1 Junctions 10 to 13 widening scheme and the A5-M1 Link (from the A4 north of Dunstable to the M1 between junctions 11 and 12) are both located in the county of Bedfordshire, UK. a) widening of approximately 25 km of the M1 between Junctions 10 to 13 from D3M to D4M including associated junction improvements at Junctions 11, 12 and 13 (excludes Junction 10). The motorway predominantly passes through rural areas but at Junction 11 it passes through the urban areas of Luton and Dunstable. There are 55 structures, 20 overbridges, 17 underbridges and 18 culverts along this stretch of motorway; and b) provision of approximately 4.5km of D2(AP) link road connecting the M1 from a new Junction 11A to the A5, north of Dunstable at its junction with the A505. This is a new link road passing through a green field site in a predominantly rural area.
