A new planning permission is required as the current planning permission no longer secures the best outcome for the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH).
The RNOH's aim is to secure the future as the specialist orthopaedic hospital of choice by providing outstanding patient care, research and education. To achieve this, the RNOH is preparing a new planning application, which is due to be submitted to the London Borough of Harrow in summer 2012.
The planning application will be a "hybrid" planning application which will comprise two elements: an outline element and a detailed element.
The outline element of the hybrid application will be for the remainder of the site . The planning application will leave layout, appearance, scale, access and landscaping reserved for determination at a later date.
This approach provides maximum flexibility for future planning applications for both the residential part of the development and the hospital.
