Glasgow council approves £600m housebuilding plan

Glasgow City Council has approved a £600m investment plan to build 10,000 affordable homes over the next five years.

The annual Strategic Housing Investment Plan (SHIP) was signed off by the council last week and marks the starts of a rolling programme to build 9,975 houses by 2022/23, with the first schemes scheduled to begin in April 2018. Read the full article on the Construction News website.

Arsenal to increase Emirates stadium capacity

Arsenal has announced it will add 780 seats over the next two summers to return the stadium to a capacity of just over 60,600.

Balfour Beatty bags extension to £100m council roads deal

Balfour Beatty’s 10-year highways service contract with Southampton City Council has been extended for a further five years.
