Plans submitted for health resource centre

A detailed planning application has recently been submitted to Newcastle-Upon-Tyne City Council by NNTLIFT Company (FundCo 1) Ltd (The Newcastle and North Tyneside Local Improvement Finance Trust, known as NNTLIFTCo was established in 2004 to develop and maintain primary care and community based premises for the NHS and its Primary Care Trusts.

It's a joint venture split across three sectors: -

• Robertson Capital Projects " a Scottish-based private sector development company within the Robertson Group " which owns 60% of shares;
• Community Health Partnership " owned by the Department of Health " which owns 20% of shares; 
• There are also four local public sector partners "Newcastle Primary Care Trust, North Tyneside Primary Care Trust, Newcastle City Council and North Tyneside Council " which, between them, own the remaining 20% of shares.) for a £1.9m development at Maria Street, Caroline Street in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

The development is for construction of Health Resource Centre which will include 2 GP practices with 21 consulting rooms, community health facility and pharmacy. Space Group from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne are the architects for the contract.
