Contractor awarded fit out works

Longcross Group Ltd has been awarded the main contract for the fit-out and extension to form a new TK Maxx store at the Green Lanes Shopping Centre, Barnstaple, for client British Land. Work is due to start on site July 2014.

Tenders invited for retail store

Tenders are currently being invited for the fit-out of a new H&M store at the Quedam Shopping Centre in Yeovil. The £400k scheme is for client Benson Elliot Capital Management.

Football stadium delayed

The award of a contractor has been delayed on the £8 million refurbishment and extension to Hillsborough Football Stadium in Sheffield, due to funding. Works to the football stadium will be to increase the spectator capacity from 39,000 to 45,000, and an extension of the West Stand to create an additional area of seating and the erection of a roof over the entire West Stand. The scheme also includes the construction of a doctors surgery.

Works starts on leisure centre

Heron Brothers Ltd have commenced works on site for a £4 million development to the leisure centre on the Aberafan Seafront, Princess Margaret Way, Port Talbot. The scheme comprises demolition of the existing leisure centre and construction of a two storey leisure facility incorporating swimming pool, sports halls, changing rooms, cafe, ancillary club facilities, plant rooms, car parking, landscaping including raising the roof of the bowling alley shell.
