Plans approved for Aldi store
Detailed plans have been approved, as part of a hybrid planning application, for a scheme by Aldi Stores Ltd at the former Sayers site in Lorenzo Drive, Liverpool. This scheme comprises of the construction of a new Aldi supermarket of 1,686sqm with 145 car parking spaces. Harris Partnership Ltd are the architects who designed this £1.5 million scheme.
Tenders returned for £171m WWTW
Tenders have now been returned for the £171 million waste water treatment works upgrade at Davyhulme in Manchester. The works for United Utilities will include primary settlement tanks, activated sludge plant, final settlement tanks, mechanical thickening of surplus activated sludge and odour control. A contractor is expected to be announcement approximately April 2014 and works could commence as early as Summer 2014. The contract will take 36 months to complete.
Tenders returned for carriageway
Tenders have now been returned for the role of employers agent for the £60 million carriageway proposal in Caernarfon, North Wales. The Welsh Assembly Government are planning a phase 3 programme for the A499/A487 Caernarfon to Bontnewydd. Tenders for the contractor are expected to be dispatched Summer 2014, with an appointment later in 2014. Works are expected to commence January 2016 and include a new 9.65 kilometre dual two and single lane carriageway with associated enabling, infrastructure and landscaping.
