Tenders invited for £1bn framework

Tenders are currently invited for a £1 billion Circle Housing Contractors Framework. The framework agreement, divided into 45 lots will consist of building contractors covering works ranging from under £1 million to over £10 million in values and geographical areas of London, North and South of the Thames, Kent, Surrey, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Birmingham/West Midlands. The majority of works contracts awarded through this framework will be for new build housing schemes. There will also be some use of the framework agreement to award contracts for refurbishment projects. It is envisaged that a maximum of 405 contractors will be appointed to the four-year contract however, if some suppliers will successfully bid for several lots, the actual number of suppliers appointed will be far less than this.
