Tenders Invited for Road Access Works

Tenders are to be invited mid August 2012 for the road access works to Site 3, Gartcosh Business Park near Glasgow for the Scottish Enterprise. Works for the £500,000 scheme are expected to commence November 2012 and take approximately 5 months. Works will comprise two new site access to Site 3 within Gartcosh Business Interchange (opposite the Gartcosh Railway Station). Works will comprise new 70 metre access road and turning head and a second bellmouth access. The works are to be delivered by April 2013 and will include localised site clearance, earthworks and grading, drainage/SUDS construction, road construction, kerbing and surfacing, lighting and signage, localised utility works, edge landscaping to the road corridor, boundary stock proof fencing. The works will be preceded by implementation of a species protection plan to trans locate Greater Crested Newts from Site 3 to the adjacent Gartcosh Nature Reserve.
