The number of reopened sites has continued to rise this week, with work restarting on a further 214 sites. Which means that three-quarters of initially suspended sites have now restarted.
To date Northern Ireland has seen 57 sites reopen, a third of those initially suspended, and we expect to see a flurry of sites in Scotland reopening over the coming weeks as the devolved Government relaxes lockdown from today.
The planning pipeline has recovered more dramatically, compared to recent weeks too, with 1,558 planning applications a day being made this week – up 28% from last week, which is just 1% below the average seen earlier this year before the lockdown came into effect, which is a really encouraging indicator for the future pipeline of planned projects.
